THOR Racing 1UZ Belt Tensioner Kit - Ancilliaries Kill BHPs!
Our latest development promises instant performance improvements for the Toyota 1UZ-FE V8 engine series. Our beautifully fabricated aluminium belt tensioner allows the deletion of the air con and power steering units to decrease resistance and reduce engine weight - a win/win all round - and the perfect compromise for drag and circuit racers.
Machined from HE30 billet and anodised in our trademark blue, the tensioner uses a precise threaded shaft to ensure that the perfect pressure can be applied to the new, shorter belt that comes with the kit.
This latest upgrade is perfect for applications where the engine is fitted into any other vehicle, particularly kit cars and 'Seven' replicas where space and weight is at a premium. For saloon car applications, the kit can be offered with a belt to retain the power steering, but delete the air con. Fitting takes seconds, bolting to the OEM holes and tensioning with just a few turns of the adjustment bolt.
This upgrade adds show and go in one easy fitment.
