Stainless Steel Dial Kits
Dial Material
Our dials are manufactured out of 304 Brushed Stainless Steel. Other finishes i.e. polished, plated or black powder coated are available by special order. Often there will be no additional charge for this but a longer time period may be required while we source the particular Stainless to make them out of.
Dial Design
We follow the original dial design very carefully using a neutral font. All the calibrated readings are identical, all warning lights are where they should be and light up the correct colour. You can of course choose different colours.
We are happy to make a set of dials to your own design. Prices start at an additional £15.00 for a simple logo added, up to £125.00 for a set of dials with your own choice of font and style.
Dial Illumination
Original dials have a series of numbers and notches printed onto their surface. In place of these, we cut straight through the stainless face. Behind this is placed a specially made backing. Backings are made individually for each order allowing you to pick and choose your own colour scheme.
Other factors to be taken into account are -
-whether the dials are front or back lit (type of backing used)
-colour of LEDs used in pod housing or perspex plate over bulbs (limiting colour choice) etc.
If your dials are affected by factors which influence the choice of colour then these they will be highlighted next to the photo on the website with a "more info" box.
Illumination Colours
There are a range of illumination colour filters to choose from. You can choose a main colour for the MPH and REV scales from the 14 colours listed. You can actually choose any colour for any symbol or scale but more than the ONE choice is charged for on an individual basis. But we don't stop you choosing anything you like.
We are now able to offer a new colour variation called "Double Silver". This is a special material that is chrome/silver during the day but takes on a whole new appearance when lit up from behind. All dials with hidden warning symbols are made like this.
