THOR Racing has a large dedicated Engine Build room and very experienced engine builders.

Typical engine building service......

The first task is to remove the engine from your vehilce. This is carried out by our skilled technicians ----->

Your engine is then taken to our second 2000ft² workshop into the dedicated engine build room. Here an initial assessment of any damage to your existing engine will be made.

<--- All engine components are stored in racking. We dedicate one rack per engine and ensure all your engine components are kept in once safe place. All damaged parts are kept until the engine is completely rebuilt and you can choose for us to dispose or yourself.

You might even like to end up with a highly asthetically pleasing and/or high performance race engine like this Toyota V8 engine...... the choice is yours.

Common / Fixed Price Costs

For any engine rebuild undertaken there are common, fixed price, extras. These are.....

removal of engine
strip down of engine (head and sump removed from block),
re-fitment of new bottom end
fluids, lubricants and general running in stuff..
ECU, fuel and ignition modifications to suit engine upgrade are extra

All the above.... typically a good 4->5 days labour for the majority of cars. (This will no doubt vary dependant on your specific requirements so only take this as a guide)

NOTE: None of the above engine builds includes any peripherals like turbos, fuel system, ECU etc etc. It is a pure ENGINE upgrade.

Full new gasket set including metal head gasket (specific thickness metal head gaskets are optional and extra price)
New Oil Pump (model dependant)
New Water Pump (model dependant)
New Oil Cooler (model dependant)
New Core Plugs
Block bored
Block decked
Machined stock crank
Balanced crank, flywheel and pulley assembly
Balanced rods and pistons
ARP Head bolts
Head cleaned, surfaced, valves lapped and new valve stem oil seals etc
