Toyota Supra MkIII V8

December 2007:

Following on from our success back in February 2006 with a MkIV Supra
THOR Racing retrofits a MkIII Toyota Supra MA70 (7MGTE) with a 4.0lt V8 1UZ-FE and manual 5spd R154 gearbox.

THOR Racing are featured in Project Gotham Racing on XBOX 360.

UK Kumho BMW Championship

September 2007:

Since Thor Racing performed an ECU replacement with the LinkPlus G3 and remap the fuel and ignition as well as controlling and mapping the Vanos (variable cams), the car has been completely different. It now has much more power and torque. The biggest benefit is the torque, providing much better corner exist speeds and acceleration. In the 4 races since fitting the LinkPlus G3, Ian has qualified 2nd twice and finished 3rd twice and 2nd once. In the final 2 rounds at Silverstone on 29th September, Ian got the fastest lap in both races and also set a new Kumho BMW Class A lap record of 1:05.011.
