V8 Engine Fitted!........... 01/02/06
The 1UZ-FE from the Toyota Soarer V8 G-ltd has been fitted into the Supra chassis and coupled to the original automatic gearbox.
Wiring is almost complete to completely integrate the V8 into the existing Supra wiring loom. We are trying to keep as many Supra functions working as possible to make this the baseline V8 conversion.
Soon it will be running on the stock ECU and we will have dynamometer power plots to show. Following this it will be fitted with a Link XLEM ECU to improve the performance of the NA engine.
Then we will progress to the manual gearbox conversion using a Tremec TKO600 5sdp box and a built 4.0lt engine....... keep watching this space.
